I fed my kids ice cream for dinner tonight, and I am ok with that.
Today was… well, all I can say is that I survived today.
I had attempted to prepare an Instagram worthy meal. I had found a creamy mushroom chicken recipe on Pinterest the night before.

These are the moments we will miss…
I stood in my kitchen today, the baby was having a hysterical screaming fit because he would rather have a cookie than the meal that sat on his favorite plate in front of him. The toddler sitting at the kitchen table, repeatedly telling me that she did not like ketchup. A condiment that was not even sitting on the table, let alone her plate.
I smiled, I smiled in that moment of pure chaos and noise, because these are the moments I will miss someday.

Like most moms, I am dreading those long Midwest winters. Long days stuck inside, trying to entertain crazy toddlers with cabin fever. Battling it out day after day over toys, Paw Patrol vs Daniel Tiger episodes, and countless requests for fruit snacks. I am always in search of fun, free activities that get us out of the house!

A simple shoe box, it seems so lifeless to me. Something I would discard into the growing pile of Amazon boxes in the garage. Maybe my toddler would fill it with mismatch puzzle pieces. The baby would for sure sit in it and giggle with delight.
A simple box. Nothing fancy.
However, for some it can be everything. It can be hope, love, and comfort.

For real!! No like for real!!
That empty toilet paper roll…. it never fails! It always appears as I sit down. The first time I have been able to sit down all morning.
It stares back at me. Glaring.

I have formed a bad habit…
You see whenever I complete a task, a chore, or just check something off my to-do list I reward myself. I reward myself with a kiss. Not the quick peck on the check kind but the melt in your mouth, silky goodness, ohhh baby yeah kisses. Yes, I am talking about those sweet, crave able, mass produced kisses from my handsome friend Hersey’s!
